EVALUATION PREP.
In todays lesson began preparing for the evaluation for our music and advert production.
Evaluation-
Question #1
-
A suggested approach to writing 7 conventions
(rules) and form your media products (music video, advert)
-
How have you followed or changed the conventions
(rules)?
-
3 elements to include= textual
analysis/ case studies/ critical theory
-
Incorporate and draw links between the three
-
Textual
analysis on the video:
Denotation and
connotation of:
·
Camera (movements,
high and low angles, shot type)
·
Editing (shot reverse shot, cutting rate, rhythm,
jump cuts, transitions, colour corrections which connotes the past)
·
Sound (synching
sounds with visions, non-diegetic sound)
·
Mis-en-scene
(locations, props, makeup...)
The purpose of why
you used a handheld/still camera
Use a different colour and make
links to your case studies and why you shot something the way you did or why
you chose the font you did. Using the same font that an existing advert has
used…
Then apply theory to your
textual analysis where it applies…
-
Textual
analysis on the print product:
Denotation and
connotation of:
·
Photography
(shots)
·
Lighting (focus)
·
Effects
·
Lettering
(font)
·
Combination
of elements/ layout
-
Theories:

CREATING THE CD DIGIPACK
In to days lessons I started thing about the sort of lettering to use on the back cover. because this is a single I had to take out all the songs and only include the one track as this is a single featuring another artist.
CREATING THE CD DIGIPACK
In todays lesson I began to cut round the image and adding the things that needed to be included on it. I started to edit this on Photoshop.
CREATING THE CD DIGIPACK
In my group we decided to split up and work on creating the CD digi pack separately, this means that we would be able to work faster on finishing it. I chose to the back of the CD cover and started thinking on which pictures might be suitable to use for the back.
These are the four pictures that I considered on using for the back of the CD cover, I then asked my peers to find out what they thought. they said due to lighting they would use the first picture or the last picture. After discussing with my group we agreed to use the first picture for the back and the last image for the inside of the CD.

AUDIENCE FEEBACK FOR PRINT PRODUCT PITCH
After having seen our CD cover pitch our peers said that they liked the idea however we never included a print advert to show them, which we were unaware of. Apart from this they thought that the colour scheme worked well (black and white and red) because it reflected back to our music video as we did have black and white footage to portray the past. The colour red is meant to symbolise love which is why we included that in all of the print products.

TEAM MEETING
In todays lesson we were one member down and she had all the work on her computer, however we were able to focus more on our logo and how it would appeal on the CD cover. We plan on making our CD cover black and white and the logo red.
Fonts:
We used illustrator to create these fonts and we thought that the bottom right would be the best to use.
